"TEXAS TAKAHASHI" A Summary of the Original Screenplay By Richard S. Omura
Texas Takahashi is a government agent of mixed ancestry who has undergone past-life regression therapy so that the personality of his ancient ninja ancestor takes over his body. The purpose was to create an invincible warrior, expert in the art of hand to hand combat. The problem is that the ancient ninja warrior, Sasuke, is not completely under the control of Texas' mind, and leads him to do capricious things.
The story takes place partially in the mind of Texas, occupied by both Sasuke and Texas. His mind is represented in the story as a library, office and factory, where they interact as separate people. There is also another personality involved, that of Texas' alter ego, his dark side, the part of his mind that he doesn't want to face, his Undesirable Aspect, who is a crossdresser. By dealing with this undesirable aspect of himself, Texas begins to discover his true self - the feminine as well as his masculine side.
In his mind, Texas works with Sasuke and his dark side to gain self control over himself. At the same time, he is assigned to work on a case involving another past-life regression experiment, where an agent was totally dominated by a past-life personality bent on world domination. This past-life entity, named Chakran, is not only a fierce warrior in hand to hand fighting, but an expert in mind control. He has taken over a physical fitness center and mentally enslaved over fifty people. The police and military are helpless, as Chakran has the latest in personal defense technology, called the HIGH VELOCITY PROJECTILE SHIELD, which makes guns and bullets useless. The only way to defeat him is through hand to hand martial arts.
Texas ventures into Chakran's dojo with Tally, his partner and wife. He confronts Chakran and is sorely put to the test and is about to be defeated, mainly because in his mind, he is still fighting with his dark side. It is only after he resolves the issues within himself that he is able to access his full potential, the melding of the feminine with the masculine. Texas was unwilling to listen to Tally's advice previously because she is a woman, and he considered all women inferior to him when it came to fighting. But now with the full appreciation that comes to him through accepting his cross-dressing self, Texas accepts Tally's help and defeats Chakran.
